"I'm always too late for the moment"
👉 You have the camera, the motivation, and the desire to create great street photographs, but somehow you're not getting the results you want.
👉 You spend hours rushing from one place to the next without a clear focus.
👉 You know there are photographic opportunities all around you, but you're not always sure what to look for or how to recognise them in time.
👉 When an interesting situation finally appears, it often catches you by surprise. Instead of anticipating the moment, you hesitate, only to realise a second later that the ‘right’ frame has already passed.
👉You struggle to judge the right moment or composition, and often click too quickly without taking the time for intentional photographic decisions.
👉 Over time, this can make you lose the spark for street photography. You feel more inspired when you travel, even though you know that opportunities are always there, even close to home.
You’re not getting the shot that was there to be made, you rely more on luck than on skill and you think you have to travel far to find interesting photos.
Well... you are not alone. And the good news is that street photography doesn't have to work that way. Learning to see, anticipate and make intentional decisions are skills you can train.

Ingrid Claassen

"The Power of Improvisation Lies in Preparation"

I've spent countless hours photographing the streets, including producing a weekly assignment for Amsterdam's main newspaper Het Parool. Working on a deadline helped me develop a proven approach to finding and capturing stronger moments consistently.
Through my workshops, I've shared this approach with dozens of photographers, helping them improve their observational skills, decision-making, and confidence on the street.

Is this course for you?
✅ "I understand my camera settings, but I still struggle to create photographs I'm proud of"
Yes! This course isn't about settings. It's about learning how to recognise photographic opportunities, anticipate moments, and refine your approach to creating stronger images.
✅ "I have limited time to shoot and want to return home with more successful images"
You're not alone. While street photography requires time and practise, having a clear framework will help you recognise potential situations more quickly, move with greater purpose and make intentional decisions in the field. You'll make the most of the time and return home with images you're excited about.
✅ "I am new to street photography. Isn't this course too advanced?"
Not at all. This course is designed as a step-by-step approach, making it accessible even if you're just getting started. Instead of figuring everything out on your own, you'll follow a clear structure that helps you build confidence and develop the right habits from the beginning.
